Padella, London Bridge

I have a long, long list of places I want to eat at in London. Padella was firmly at the top of that list after stalking them on Instagram a million times. Now that one of my fave foodies, Sophie, has moved to London, what better way to celebrate than with wine and allllll of the carbs?

I've said this before, but if you're after some top notch grub in London, be prepared to queue. We had to wait an hour and a half but it's fine, there are plenty of pubs around and you will forget all about that waiting time once you're in. 

You know it's going to be a cracking meal when the queue is spiralling around the corner and the smell of garlic hits you in the face every time the door swings open. 

We went for sourdough and the gnocci with buttery sage to start, followed by the fettuccine with fennel sausage ragu for myself and Fi and the tagliarini with nettles, parmesan and egg yolk for Soph. Pasta as soft as butter and smothered in Parmesan, you can't beat it.

carbs on carbs on carbs. Just how I like it. 

It was honestly out of this world. The best pasta ever and I have been raving about it to anyone who will listen ever since.

                                                  TIP: go early, order everything, thank me later.
