January Foodie Highlights

I didn't do the whole clean eating, getting fit, dry January. I just carried on as normal and continued to eat and drink my way through London. January is depressing enough as it is, why deprive yourself of life's finest things?

These were my best foodie bits:

New Year's Day roast.
It's safe to say I started 2017 with the worst hangover of my life and had to endure the longest journey back to London from Swansea. Jano saved the day with this carby portion of deliciousness. Nothing can beat your mum's roast dinner.

Discovering The Grind's newest establishment.
The Clerkenwell Grind is well and truly an Instagrammers dream.

Beerz.
When you're feeling homesick, there is no cure quite like a bottle of Blodwen's Beer. Iechyd da.

The Saintly Six.
Dirty Martini making January better with their heavenly (and healthy) cocktails. Read about my visit here.

Brunching.
Brown & Green Cafe in Crystal Palace win at brunch and bubbles.

Welcome to the good life.
The Good Life Eatery near Sloane Square is the place to go if you're on a health kick - An avocado lovers dream.

Franco Manca.
When pizza is involved, it will always be Franco Manca. The spicy sausage is a winner.

Petersham Nurseries.
This is quite possibly the best place on earth. Read about my visit here.

Cake, cake, cake.
Blackbird Bakery do a flourless chocolate cake that will change your life. It's rich and dense and bloody lovely.

Discovering dairy free yogurt.
Vegans, rejoice! I've found an almond milk yogurt that is delicious. I am usually sceptical of products that claim to be dairy free but Nush yogurts are really scrummy.

Sunday roast game strong.
After a stressful stroll through Columbia Flower Market and getting leaf to the face about 100 times, a roast with a hefty portion of pig was what I needed. The Dragon, you da best.

January wasn't so bad after all.
