December Foodie Highlights

Anyone else struggling to do their jeans up?

I well and truly over indulged in December which has resulted in a tight pair of jeans and I haven't even attempted the pencil skirt yet...These were my best foodie bits:

because what is the festive season without Bratwurst and beer?

Winter Wonderland

Gail's Bakery
After a morning of shopping, there is no better way to recover than with lunch, coffee and cake at Gail's in Chelsea.

Seriously Italian
Tuesday is Farmers Market day in South Ken and these guys do the best pasta in the world.

As if one visit wasn't enough... I went to Polpetto in Soho one week and returned to Polpo in Sloane Square the week after. Seriously delicious sharing plates and both restaurants are really cute and cwtchy.

Busaba Eathai
I met one of my Cardiff besties for dinner in Covent Garden. I'm dying to go back to Thailand but this is the closest it will be getting for now. We both went for the Chicken Pad Thai and it was bloody lovely.

Scoff & Banter
Delicious, hearty food that includes a cheese and broccoli pie. I will say no more.

I go months without having a roast dinner and then have 3 in a week. That's what Christmas is about, right?
The Great Exhibition, East Dulwich

Scoff & Banter, Kensington

Flat Iron

I finally got to try Flat Iron! I had to wait 2 hours, but when it's a tenner for a steak and free popcorn and ice-cream, it's totally worth it.

Christmas Dinnaaaaa
This was the first year that my mum didn't cook and I was a little skeptical. We went to the New Inn in Clydach and it was so delicious. I ate too much and had to nap, but I feel like it' not Christmas day unless you have a food coma.

Wright's Food Emporium
I've been wanting to go to this place forever but have never got around to it. It's in Llanarthne and it's wonderful. I had the Welsh Rarebit toastie with leeks and sausage, as you do when you're back in Wales.

So like everyone else I am rolling into January in search of salad's and detox water... HELP?!
