September Foodie Highlights

Birthday shenanigans.

It happened, I am no longer in the 18-25 box. I am the old side of my 20's and I can no longer own a young persons railcard because I am an old person now.

But it's ok, I don't have a wrinkle yet and ageing a year means celebrating. A lot - which I did.

It started with brunch at Pedler in Peckham. This is a V cool place and they lather the door stop toast in maple butter. It's what dreams are made of. You can also sip on Gin N Juice with breakfast which is always a winner.

Home time! Back to Wales means lots of fizz and girl time with the best.

Bloom Gin, macaroons and catch up's with the best team at Park Plaza Cardiff.

Kebabs by the sea in Porthcawl at The Fairways.

The G&Tea cocktail at No6 in Swansea. It's the best cocktail I've had in a long time, so much so I went back last week for a goblet or 2 for my sisters 30th...

While we're on Gin in Swansea, another good place is Hogarths - they have lots and lots of gin on offer. Mine was Brecon Gin & organic tonic. This is hands down my favourite gin of them all. (The best things in life are Welsh...)

I feel like September is the last month where you can enjoy ice cream before you make the swap to indulgent boozy hot chocolates. Amorino is where it's at for frozen sweetness. I had pistachio, coffee and chocolate flavour and it was delicious. I went to the one in Fulham but they are dotted all around London so they are easy to find.

A hearty Eggs Benedict portion at my fave Peckham brunch spot, Anderson & Co.

Enjoying the last of the warm(ish) nights at Franks Rooftop Bar in Peckham. It closes for summer this weekend :(

Espresso Martini's at Noah's Yard in Uplands. This is my favourite place for a drink in Swansea, I lived in Uplands when this place first opened and each time I go it gets busier and better.

Although the beginning of September saw an unexpected heatwave, I am fully ready for Autumn and the basic necessities. AKA pumpkin spice everything - including Bailey's. Watch this space.

Not that a summer bod was ever on my list of achievement's this year, but we have officially entered in to Autumn which means comforting, carby foods to keep you warm...

October I'm going to like you.
