Peckham Brunching

The other weekend my Bristolian bestie came to visit and 2 days of catch ups calls for 2 days of brunching.

Milky latte's - check
Big toast - check
Fluffy eggs - check

Londoners, if you're looking for some new brunch spots get yo ass to Peckham. There's more to this area than Del Boy and its £4.99 cinema tickets.

Black Bird cafe under Queens Road Peckham Station. I was team BB all weekend having 3 helpings of the stuff.
Saturday morning was take away coffees (these folks do the best coffee in Peckham)
Saturday afternoon meant slabs cake from the guys at Dulwich Market - I had the most incredible chocolate cake - It was also gluten free which means it's healthy, right?

Then Sunday morning was brunch with a menu that can sort out any fragile head.

Pedler. If you're looking for a spot that's good for girly catch ups, first dates and everything else, head to Pedler.

They have an extensive brunch menu with lots of things I cannot pronounce, which makes it a great change from your standard bacon sandwich. I saw a great big Yorkshire pudding thing go past that was stuffed with all things delicious. No idea what it was but it looked fabulous. I went for the shakshuka because baked eggs, spicy tomato and thick bread can do no wrong.

It's worth noting that you can enjoy these places in the evening too. Black Bird do pizza nights and Pedler does an evening menu and some smashing cocktails.

So if you find yourself south of the river, make these brunch spots a must!!
