My very best bit of July was my evening at Dusty Knucke. I've already written about how fantastic is was here. But it really was a top night of delicious food and the best company. 


I've wanted to try The Dead Canary for ages and never got around to it, so what better way to wave off Cardiff than with a cheeky gin cocktail. This is probably the coolest bar in Cardiff with an impressive and very inventive cocktail menu and I feel like there will be something for everyone. 


Discovering a halloumi and peach salad at bills. I LOVE sweet and salty together and this was the best combination. 


My Park Plaza leaving do at Locke & Remedy. We ate pizza and drank prosecco and I couldn't have asked for a better send off with a fabulous bunch. 


Using borderfeilds oil on anything and everything. My personal fave? Crushed avo on toast with a smidge of chilli flakes, squeezed lemon and salt and pepper, topped with fried mushrooms and then a generous drizzle of lemon rapeseed oil. Absolutely delightful.

Getting to make and eat mochi - What is mochi? I hear you cry! WELL, it's a ball of sweet, delicious ice cream wrapped in a squidgy ball of dough. The texture is like nothing you will have eaten before and it's scrumptious. My favourites were the coconut and mango ones. I even had a go at making them myself at a master class in Wholefoods flagship store. 


It was also my first time to Wholefoods and I died and went to heaven. They know how to put on a spread.
