June Foodie Highlights

Here's what got me all excited in June:

The one day of sunshine, meaning strawberries and gin in the park with Nina.

Discovering The Good Life Eatery in London and experiencing what salad dreams are made of. Find it on Sloane Avenue.

Using my Spiralizer for the first time and realising my life will never be the same again.

Learning that Locke & Remedy do half price bottles of Prosecco and buy one get one free (delicious) pizza's in the week - Officially my new fave place in Cardiff city centre.

Cocktails in wellies AND all you can eat monkey nuts in Her Majesties Secret Service in Bristol. Find it in Clifton. TIP: this would be the perfect place for a first date.

S Balls Birthday Brunch. It's become a tradition that Nina holds Birthday Brunches and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Mountains of warm crumpets, tea and prezzies. (sorry Soph for almost setting you alight whilst trying to get the perfect boomerang video...)

Trying Wagamamas for the first time. Believe it or not I was a Waga Virgin, for some reason I thought it was all sushi rolls - WRONG. Nina took me along as her date and we ordered the best combination of steamed buns, Gyoza thingies, edamame beans and I had the most delicious coconut curry, all washed down some very large glasses of wine. We also managed to squeeze in some desserts, I would HIGHLY recommend the ginger cheesecake or the coconut ice cream - it's like holiday on a spoon.

Aloe is the superhero of the plant world. I've drank it, used it on my skin, teeth and hair, it works wonders and I've found Simplee Aloe, a drinkable version that doesn't make me gag - yaaay. It's delicious and reaps the benefits of pure aloe. Count me in.

*Rolls into July*
