The SWiGG, Swansea

Word on the Marina was that there was a new brunch spot.

The SWiGG is a new cafe/bar right on the water in Swansea Marina. My dad had scoped it out the week before and said we had to go back, so one sunny Sunday morning we headed down to check it out.

First impressions are great. It's light, airy and well decorated and strikes you as versatile place that would be cwtchy in winter and cool in summer.

Their brunch menu is a good one and has a lot more on offer than just your standard eggs on toast.

I went for the avocado and poached egg on honey and spelt toast and although it was on the small side, the presentation and quality was spot on. It would be an ideal place if you like the idea of a tapas breakfast. I could have done with another portion or maybe a dish of something else, I quite like the idea of lots of different plates of breakfasty deliciousness.

Anyway this particular morning it worked out well as the Uplands Market was pitched up just ahead and I saw that the Pwdin Cart had peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake...

So I liked this new joint and I will definitely be back to SWiGG on some cold rose in the sunshine this summer.
