2015 Best Bits

Hi 2015, bye 2015. Did anyone else blink and lose a whole year?

But in that very quick year, I can confirm that I had the best time ever.

Here's some of my best bits.

The Jady Brunch was born - because someone had to show you how to make falafel.

Cooking with Gennaro Contaldo and Omar Allibhoy. Any foodies dream is to cook with the best chefs and I was lucky to do so on 2 occasions.

I visited Thailand with my family and had the most amazing week that consisted of fresh coconuts, noodles galore, daily massages and one too many gin fizz cocktails.

Ohh and getting groomed by a monkey...

I read my first thriller and got completely hooked. My book of the year was definitely Girl on the Train. If you didn't read it GO,GO,GOO.

We got our kitty, Pepper. We dress her in scarfs and she hates us but she does provide us with many lols. She is queen.

I turned 25...RIP railcard. But I did get to drink a goblet of gin at Bar 44 and I had tickets to the Harry Potter Studios, so really who's winning?

I visited my first supper club and it was bloody brilliant - Hardies Supper Club. This is definitely something I want to do more of this year.

I ran the Cardiff half. I may have completed it at snails pace but I crossed the line and the best part? Guilt free burgers afterwards at Locke & Remedy.

I visited Germany and discovered my new favourite word - brotzeit. It means bread time, which is the best time.

All of the street food, from the likes of The Depot, Street Food Circus, Roath and Riverside Farmers Markets, Dinerama, Koh Samui Night Market and Borough Food Market. This is the reason for my tight jeans and new found love of tofu steamed buns. Big up to the bestest that was Brother Thai and Yum Buns.

Attending the Winter Good Food Show and the World Cheese Awards. I was lucky enough to meet some of the Barber family to talk (and eat) all things cheese. You don't know Cheddar until you have tried Barbers 1833

That view. Park Plaza Westminster, you were a dream.

Lots of girl time and eating with the fabulous 3 that are Nina, Sophie & Rosie

The best of the new Cardiff openings: Pitch, Locke & Remedy, the Stable, Turtle Bay & Shake Shack.

Where I got to meet fellow, Cardiff bloggers who are the funniest, nicest people you could meet who share the same thing in common with me - always hungry. Hungry City Hippy, Kitchen Clonc, The Plate Licked Clean, Explore with Ed, The Welsh Rarebit, Yeastie Boys and Miss Bonda. I'm looking forward to another year filled with burgers and wine with this lot.

I'm not usually a fan of New Year's Eve but this one was an exception. It was my first time to Yorkshire and I fell a little in love.

So that was my 2015 and I am so ready for 2016. Elasticated waist trousers here I come.
