Did Someone Say Brunch?

I've got some new brunch spots that I have to tell you all about. I've been in Cardiff for over 2 years and I am still stumbling across yummy places. These ones are no big secret but if you haven't tried them get, you simply must get on with it.

First stop, Pontcanna.

Fat Pig Deli
Fat Pig Jady. I love chorizo and this delicious deli has been on my list for a while. It lived up to its piggin marvellous expectations and is a place I would highly recommend to all the sausage lovers.

Ahhhh Brava. This has quickly become my number 1 for Eggs Benedict in Cardiff. They have a glorious suntrap sitting area at the front, where you are guaranteed to see at least 10 cute dogs (and rugby players) walk past, making it the perfect brunch spot.

Canna Deli

Tucked away with hefty wooden tables and stacks of Welsh chutneys is Canna Deli. They serve super duper door stop sarnies and VERY good coffee. It is Welsh through and through and a dreamy place to spend an afternoon.

Now we're coming back over to my neck of the woods...

Roath Farmers Market

My absolute favourite way to start a Saturday is with Coffee from Brodie's Coffee Camper and a ginormous slice of cake from the Pwdin Cart at the Roath Farmers Market. My favourite is the banana bread, which is technically one of my 5 a day, which is totally acceptable for that early in the morning....

The Gutsy Goose
There is no better way to start the weekend than with a cappuccino and a Spanish Breakfast - Buenos Dias.

Stag Coffee
If you are after staggering portions and naughtiness, this is the place for you. I went for the chorizo & scrambled eggs which kept me going all the way until dinner time - The sign of a successful breakfast. A MUST for foodies. They also do a mean matcha latte.

Coco Patisserie
I don't restrict myself of much, especially cake for breakfast. This is a French patisserie like no other and something that Cardiff was lacking in before this beauty came along. I had a peanut butter macaroon which was as heavenly as you would expect alongside a seriously good coffee.

Deli Rouge

I only discovered this little treasure last weekend and I already know I'm going to love it. We just popped in for a coffee (and beer) and sat in the gloriously sunny garden. The breakfast menu sounded hearty and fabulous, so I will report back on this one very soon.

Now I bet you can't wait for the weekend to eat all the brunch...I'll join you.
