A Morning in Cowbridge

I adore Wales and want to explore as much of it as possible. I'm originally from Swansea, so in around 45 minutes I can find myself at one of the UK's most gorgeous coast lines. Being that little bit further away in Cardiff, we are surrounded by some beautiful green spaces. One sunny Thursday Morning. I hopped on a bus and found myself exploring the streets of Cowbridge. Any amount of time exploring is hungry business - first stop, Arboreal

Like most places these days I stumbled across this on Twitter. The menu won me over and I've been meaning to try it out for a while, you will see exactly what I mean when you look at the menu too. See for yourself here. One sip of coffee later and I knew it was a bus journey well worth it.

Just look at that cappuccino.

After oogling the menu for too long, I asked the chef, Rhys, for some help and he recommended the Potato Rosti, which was ranked high in my top 5 anyway.

I feel I definitely made the right decision here - a potato rosti, smothered in spiced onion and tomato chutney with spinach, a fried egg and toast. The chutney gave it a sweet kick and it is something I would highly recommend. It is one of the cheaper dishes on the menu and is cracking value for money.

So this, as you can see was a very successful morning. Arboreal itself is a place you could find yourself sitting for hours. Its rustic, light and airy feel have you relaxed in no time, making it the perfect brunch spot.

Cowbridge, I'll see you again soon. I've heard you do some pretty good cake...
