Sunday - Funday

After a busy couple of days, Sunday was spent indulging in brekkie and lots of coffee, followed by a visit to Cardiff National Museum. An exquisite building in itself, we were eager to get in and get brainy. The Upper floor which showcases the art, from extremely impressive and beautiful, historical portraits to modern installations was my favorite floor, followed by the stuffed penguin and Brian the balding bison in the natural history section. Anyway, I don't know about you but staying quiet for that amount of time and soaking up all that knowledge can be very tiring business, business that can only be made better by a visit to Cosy Club in order to re-charge the brain. Now I had never been to A Cosy Club, I have spied on the menu a couple of times but as I made my way up the colorful staircase, I knew this would be just my cup of tea.

‘Think gents club meets village hall meets cricket pavilion.’

There is nothing I love more than eclectic, homely interiors and this was perfectly done, mismatched furniture and vintage light shades added to its warm and accentric feel, with every nook and cranny being filled with something different to smile about. We gorged on our second helping of eggs for the day and chatted over coffees, whilst taking the opportunity to make the most of the fantastic people watching spot.

So if you are in Cardiff I would highly recommend this if you have time to spare, you could spend hours in the museum getting lost in all the history and culture, and will definitely leave feeling inspired and intelligent;) and of course it is a must that you take the time to check out Cosy Club, I am not sure about leaving feeling as intelligent as the museum but you will definitely leave feeling full up and content.
