Slinky slinky slinky.
This little slinky number is to go under my hoody style dress. It is in bamboo so it's lovely and soft and fits perfectly to the body. It will have an oversized hoody inspired dress with dropped sides over the top so you will be able to see the figure from the side - all womanly and bootylicious :)

This is my finished drawstring dress. It is in quite a thick jersey and was inspired by putting a square of fabric on the body with strings inside that when pulled, changed the shape of the dress. It looked a bit bizarre so i refined it lots and stuck to one drawstring just under the arm. I also added super long stings at the back of the neck that swish with movement.

I am very particular and prefer less than more especially when it comes to sketchbook work. I'm a sucker for a good font and layout.

Last week was hectic, we had touchdown with student loans which meant a much needed trip to london town was needed! I got a tad bit over excited with the fabric and failed to think ahead with how I would lug this through London - nearly took a few innocent beings down in Zara with my VERY big, VERY heavy and rather unattractive shopper brimming with the heaviest jersey I could find. (trust me)  Now it's full steam ahead! Eeeeeeek!!

Here is my cwtchy, oversized, black number. It was inspired from cutting 2 huge squares and placing them on the body with 4 holes for the legs, arms and neck and then refining the shape into something wearable with a big comfy neck/hood. I am pairing it with a white bamboo slinky long sleeved layer underneath with thumb holes. Nice and Snuggly!

Also no day is complete without 100 tea breaks...it is medicine for the brain :)

7 weeks.

So after a lovely and very short Easter break (Still managed to cram a whole holidays worth of chocolate into one week) I am now back in the studio with toiles up to my eyeballs. This week I have been perfecting and tweaking. A trip to London is in order the minute my loan touches down into my bank account as the colour of calico is making me go slightly blind, or perhaps it is just me refusing to look at it for too long. Anyway I need a bit of my black and grey in there...lovely, uplifting and happy colours. They say your collection is meant to reflect you..In which case I am the most depressed, moodiest bastard you have ever come across...Its all lies, promise:)

Shoesies

So the fashion show deadline is approaching super fast and it's about time I got a move on with thinking of styling and accessories. My collection is all jersey so it is all about comfort which seems to be a priority among most women these days. (Definitely me.) There are slinky pieces combined with over sized pieces that drape off the body, I want the femininity and sexiness to be down to the cut which is why I have chosen a flat shoe.I have found these welly shoes which I am going to spray a matte black and a matte white which will hopefully not have you looking like your off to do a spot of gardening. They are practical, VERY comfy and look a bit weird - which i like (They would also keep your feet completely dry and snug when the British weather does what it does best...wet shoes and socks are my biggest hate)
They are £5.99 a pair which makes them all the more fantastic!! Trago you little angel you!

Toile Line-up Take two

Since the first line up its changed slightly and I've just been adding bits here and there and perfecting patterns and details. I've been looking at sportswear finishes and changing seams which has involved so much masking tape, pins, headaches and some sooper big patterns (My budget was not expecting this) Lucky I raided mummys cupboards before coming back down to Cornwall....Tinned soup for a few months it is!
